The founding partners of BatLife Europe were the Bat Conservation Trust (BCT), the Dutch Mammal Society (DMS), Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU), Romanian Bat Protection Association (RBPA), Stiftung Fledermaus and Société Française pour l' Étude et la Protection des Mammifères (SFEPM). We've expanded to include many more European organisations, and are working to recruit others.

Protection of bats in Switzerland is coordinated by two coordination centers, East and West. The Western Coordination Centre has been active for over 20 years to conserve the 29 Bat Species in Switzerland.
